Landon Laubhan Productions LLC.
was founded in June of 2006 by Landon Laubhan of Freedom, Oklahoma when he
co-produced his first PBR sanctioned event in Woodward, Oklahoma. “It was not an
idea that just popped in my head overnight. The idea was a good two years in the
making,” Landon explains. Before he formed his company, Landon was hauling bulls
owned by Marvin Nixon to PBR events across the country for all of 2004 and 2005.
A majority of those events were being produced by Jerry Nelson (owner of
Frontier Rodeo Co.) who Landon claims showed him the ropes of producing PBR’s.
“When I was not busy flanking bulls at the events I was watching and listening
to Jerry and his crew produce the bull ridings from beginning to finish. I
learned an enormous amount by just watching and helping when needed. It didn’t
matter to me what he had me doing, whether it was pulling gates, cracking
latches, loading bulls, or running the stripping chute. I was gaining priceless
knowledge on the correct way to produce a PBR event. Heck, I even got to jump on
a trick horse in a trick saddle with only a lead rope and halter and chase five
bulls that escaped right through the heart of Columbus, GA. There were police
cars blocking off intersections and camera crews chasing us filming the whole
thing!!! The main lesson I learned in Columbus is to make sure that all loading
gates leading outside are tied shut with a rope!” Landon proclaims that he has
called Mr. Nelson so many times seeking advice that Jerry said he was going to
start charging him like a lawyer would. “ I think he was serious,” laughs

After producing one event in
2006, Landon Laubhan Productions expanded in 2007 and produced 4 PBR events and
co-produced Woodward again giving the company a total of 6 PBR events under its
belt since being founded.

When asked what it takes to
produce a successful PBR event, Landon quickly answered by saying “Fans of the
PBR and one hell of a crew!” He claims he has the best crew going down the road.
“They are all very dedicated and loyal not only to me and the company but to the
sport of professional bull riding. It’s in their blood. They have the same
passion, desire, and drive that I have to give the PBR fans and sponsors setting
in the stands one great show. There is a reason why that P in PBR stands for the
word Professional and my crew is all made up of very professional business
people. Everyone does their job the very best that it can be done and that is
what makes each and every event not only successful but very professionally
produced. Not only is the company name all over the event but PBR, Inc. is all
over it as well, so we want to make sure we uphold the integrity of the company
and the PBR,” explains Landon.

can tip their hats to a very successful 2007 year and now look forward to a very
busy 2008 because the company has once again expanded from 5 events in 2007 to
12 events for 2008. “The company has some major plans to put together and some
major goals to accomplish in the next five years,” Landon says. “I would love
for us to be putting on a PBR event every weekend except for Thanksgiving and
Christmas,” states Landon. He was 25 years old when Landon Laubhan Productions
first started and was scared to death. He is now 27 years old and is still
scared to death!!!
